Linton is situated on the Springdallah Creek, approximately 34 kms south-west of Ballarat and is approx 20 minutes’ drive from the Delacombe Town Centre. In the Golden Plains Shire, Linton provides a general store, a café, a friendly country hotel, an antique store, sporting facilities & primary education. There is also the Clarksdale Bird Sanctuary, a nature reserve focused on protecting and restoring habitat for woodland birds. Devil’s Kitchen is an impressive geological reserve in nearby Piggoreet and the Ballarat to Skipton Rail Trail runs through Linton, which is ideal for walkers, cyclist or horse riders with stunning scenery & native wildlife.
